May 12, 2002 I look around... at my clean desk (yes, I dusted it and re-aranged it, it looks nicer, more, wait... there was a C word that describes it... cozy? no.. quaint? Doesn't begin with C... argh) Anyway, yes, it looks nicer... so i think, Whats the point? Seriously, what is the point? - We are born. - We get enrolled into education for a third of our lives. - We get a job, find a home, get a family, settle down. - We die. Notice the boldness. Go ahead. Look again. It has come to my attention that death is by no means the end. Nor is it a beginning. I shall try my best to get you round to see what I am thinking: Imagine time. The past, the present, the future. We are the present. We can only go forwards, into the future, yet we look at the path behind us, the past. Also imagine a line, and for this example, imagine it has a start, and an end, and put a dot, in the middle. Thats you. Now, think of the width of that dot. Thats your life. You can claim that space as your own. Now think of all the people before you, those who have died recently, those whom have died centuries ago. It seems weird, doesn't it? To know that your life-span isn't much compared to all the time that has passed. At this moment, whilst you are thinking of the past, look towards you, in the future. Now how do you feel? How do you feel that say, in 150 years time, you'll be long since dead? Focus back on the dot, on you. Think "All that time, for new souls to be born again? It seems like a waste" Let me tell you something, it is. It is a waste of time, unless everything is renewed. It seems to me that life is changed, is refreshed. Yet we think we go to some special place, maybe a part of us does? Maybe half of us goes somewhere, and the other is refreshed into another living thing? But reincarnation rings true, otherwise, imagine the traffic-jams in heaven? |
